Aqua Square is a natural water treatment technique that uses Effective Microorganisms (EM) instead of harmful chemicals to treat pollution in ponds, lakes, rivers, and drains. Since 97% of Malaysia’s water supply comes from rivers and water quality is declining, Aqua Square offers an affordable solution. This research tested its effectiveness using water from a school pond. The project aims to reduce water pollution, improve water quality, and provide sustainable environmental remediation. The Aqua Square sinks into sludge, where microorganisms decompose pollutants. After 5 days, turbidity improved, showing successful bioremediation. Wire mesh can also trap rubbish while floating.
