TeLeS MosTrap is an innovative solar-powered mosquito trapping device developed to reduce mosquito populations and help prevent dengue outbreaks in schools and surrounding communities. Inspired by mosquito breeding hotspots in school dormitories, the device combines a UV LED light to attract mosquitoes with dual-sided adhesive traps for safe and effective capture, eliminating the need for harmful chemical insecticides. Field testing demonstrated its effectiveness in reducing mosquito presence in high-risk areas.
