Abstract

Poaching and unauthorized human intrusion remain major threats to wildlife conservation centres, despite ongoing efforts to protect endangered species. To address this issue, our project introduces an Intelligent Anti-Poaching System, a smart surveillance solution designed to enhance security in conservation areas. The system integrates a motion sensor, infrared (IR) sensor, and microphone sensor to detect human presence and suspicious activities. Once an unauthorized individual is detected, the system immediately sends an alert to security personnel, enabling a rapid response before harm can be caused to wildlife.

The device is strategically installed in concealed locations, such as on trees or within bushes, to improve detection efficiency while remaining unnoticed by intruders. By reducing dependence on continuous manual patrols, the system helps conservation centres optimize manpower, lower operational costs, and improve overall security. Furthermore, the innovation supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13: Climate Action and SDG 15: Life on Land by contributing to biodiversity conservation and protecting endangered species.

This project has strong potential for implementation in wildlife reserves, zoos, national parks, and animal sanctuaries worldwide. Ultimately, the Intelligent Anti-Poaching System aims not only to prevent illegal activities but also to promote awareness about wildlife conservation and inspire future generations to protect our natural environment.
