CITRUS REPEL CANDLE is an eco-friendly innovation developed to address the increasing cases of dengue fever and malaria while also reducing waste from discarded lemon peels and used cooking oil. The innovation was inspired by concerns over the widespread use of chemical-based mosquito repellents that may negatively affect human health and the environment. Unlike conventional mosquito repellents, this product does not contain synthetic chemicals, paraffin wax, or artificial fragrances, making it safer and more sustainable for daily use. The candle is produced using natural ingredients such as soy wax, dried lemon peels, and recycled used cooking oil. Lemon peels contain natural citrus compounds that help repel mosquitoes effectively while producing a refreshing and pleasant scent. The preparation process involves combining the ingredients carefully to create a long-lasting candle with stable burning performance. Testing and observations showed that the candle is effective in reducing the presence of mosquitoes in surrounding areas while providing a safer alternative to commercial repellents. In addition, the product is biodegradable and compostable after use, allowing it to function as a soil enhancer instead of contributing to environmental pollution. In conclusion, the CITRUS REPEL CANDLE is a sustainable and innovative solution that promotes environmental conservation, waste recycling, and healthier living while helping communities reduce the risks of mosquito-borne diseases.
