S²GO is an eco-friendly soap innovation made from recycled A4 paper coated with a blend of glycerin soap, aloe vera gel, butterfly pea flower extract, calamansi lime juice, and several other natural extracts. This study aims to reduce the wastage of A4 paper in schools while providing a portable and convenient hand soap that can be used whenever soap is unavailable, particularly in school canteens or during outdoor school activities.
The product is suitable for students, teachers, and the entire school community as a practical solution for maintaining hand hygiene. The results demonstrate that S²GO functions effectively as a handwashing soap while adding value to discarded A4 paper. This innovation also promotes personal hygiene, fosters a recycling culture in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12 as its primary focus, and contributes to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 13 (Climate Action) through an innovative, sustainable, and environmentally friendly approach.
