The Pet Feeder Robot is a STEM-based innovation developed to address the challenge of maintaining consistent feeding schedules for pets when owners are busy or away from home. The system integrates an Arduino microcontroller, a Real-Time Clock (RTC), a servo motor, an infrared sensor, and a food dispensing mechanism to automate pet feeding at predetermined times. The programmed controller activates the dispenser according to the scheduled feeding times, ensuring that pets receive the correct meal consistently with minimal human intervention. This innovation promotes responsible pet care while reducing the risk of missed or delayed feeding. In addition to solving a real-life problem, the project provides an engaging platform for students to apply knowledge in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), particularly in programming, electronics, and engineering design. The prototype is affordable, user-friendly, and can be enhanced with Internet of Things (IoT) features such as mobile application control, food level monitoring, and real-time notifications. Overall, the Pet Feeder Robot demonstrates how practical STEM innovation can improve daily life, encourage technological creativity, and provide a scalable solution with strong educational and commercial potential.
