Eco-Bowl is an innovative and sustainable food container developed from the white inner layer (albedo) of durian peel. The albedo undergoes a series of processing steps, including cleaning, drying, and molding with a food-grade binder to create a durable and structurally stable bowl. It is subsequently coated with a food-safe protective layer, making it suitable for serving cold foods and beverages as well as moderately hot food and drinks. Eco-Bowl contributes to environmental sustainability by transforming durian peel waste into a value-added product while reducing dependence on single-use plastic containers. In addition, it raises public awareness of sustainable practices and offers a safe, practical, eco-friendly, and economically viable alternative for food packaging and serving applications.
