Rainwater harvesting is to reduce, reuse and retain water for variety of purposes such as watering plants, washing exterior spaces and flushing toilets. However, traditional rainwater harvesting methods are facing multiple issues such as bulky tanks, limited space, and lack of smart monitoring. Therefore, there is a need for the adoption of modern rainwater harvesting method that incorporates advanced technology and smart design. This Smart Rainwater Harvesting System is more affordable compared to bulky traditional tanks for residential areas. It is believed that this novel conceptual idea can promote water conservation, sustainability, and community resilience.
