SpoonMunch is an innovative, eco-friendly alternative to single-use plastic cutlery designed to reduce plastic waste through an edible solution. This project focuses on developing a biodegradable and consumable spoon made from natural, food-grade ingredients that maintain functionality while promoting sustainability. To evaluate the product’s acceptability, a sensory test involving 40 respondents was conducted, assessing five key attributes: taste, texture, usability, appearance, and aroma using a 5-point Likert scale. The results revealed that usability received the highest mean score (4.05), with 90% of respondents rating it 4 or above, indicating strong consumer satisfaction with its practicality. Taste and aroma were also favorably rated, while texture received slightly lower scores, suggesting potential for refinement in achieving a smoother or crisper mouthfeel. Overall, SpoonMunch demonstrates the feasibility of creating a sustainable and appealing edible utensil, highlighting its potential contribution to reducing plastic pollution and promoting environmental awareness through everyday eating practices.
