PS274: MODEL KNOW YOUR TEETH'S

MUHAMMAD AMIRUL HAFIDZ BIN MUHAMMAD RUZAINI SK PINTAS RAYA

An appropriate method needs to be applied in teaching activities so that the knowledge to be shared is easy to convey. Whereas, in the aspect of learning, stimulation is needed to ensure that students can more easily accept the teaching content. However, the wrong stimulus will not be processed properly and will not be an experience. Therefore, no matter how intelligent a student is, if he does not get the right stimulation, he will not produce an effective development of intelligence and experience. Teachers play a very important role in determining the aids in teaching and learning. This is because the tools can create stimulation and then increase the level of intelligence and experience. The use of tangible materials such as models is one of the good methods to attract students' interest because these tangible materials do exist and are clear and have properties that can be identified by the human senses, namely eyes, ears, tongue, nose and skin. Therefore, models are one of the alternative methods that are often used by teachers as teaching aids during teaching and learning sessions, especially in Science subjects. In this innovation, the focus is on the tooth structure model for Year 3 Science subjects. This model is named "Know Your Teeth's". This model is designed using the Ultimaker Cura application and printed using a 3D printer and combines Arduino UNO electrical circuit and sensor applications. By using this model in teaching and learning activities in class, students become more interested in knowing and active in class. Students can also interpret history based on the model. The characteristics of realistic materials also stimulate students to explore complex and abstract ideas in line with the basis of “Kemahiran Pemikiran Sejarah” (KPS) which every student should apply.
