The Ebbinghaus Curve of Forgetting shows that information quickly fades from memory unless we actively reinforce it. Our initial survey revealed that many students struggled to retain newly learned concepts, prompting us to develop an innovative solution called SMART-17 Flashcards. Using the spaced repetition technique and the Leitner System approach, SMART-17 focuses on the challenging Algebra topic in Mathematics to boost students’ memorisation and understanding. Based on feedback from 25 respondents, 84.6% found the flashcards very useful, with *15 students rating them 10 out of 10. The results also showed increased classroom participation and improved retention of information. Encouraged by this success, we plan to extend SMART-17 to other subjects to make learning more engaging, effective, and lasting.
