SS197: PIE – GENz : Innovation In Kinetic Energy – Based For Garden/Recreational Area Lighting.

Shauqil Asyraf Bin Muhammad Afif SMK TENGKU SARAFUDIN BADLISHAH

Most recreational parks/areas required electrical resources for night lighting, which increases energy costs and dependence on non-renewable energy. Dark parks/areas also expose to the safety risks.

Our project develops a model of a light’s garden  that generates electrical energy from human movement (kinetic energy). Piezoelectric technology and mechanical generators are used to convert movement energy into electrical energy, which is stored in batteries and used to power LED lights in the garden/outdoor.
