Clothing theft is a common problem in hostels and communal living spaces, where students often lose their garments due to the use of unsecured, conventional clothespins. To overcome this issue, the RFID Clothespin was designed as a smart and secure solution. The system integrates an RFID sensor and a unique RFID card, ensuring that only the rightful owner can unlock the clothespin. This prevents unauthorized access and reduces the risk of theft. In addition, the clothespin is enhanced with LED indicators that display battery levels, enabling users to monitor power usage effectively. A rechargeable battery system is also included to ensure long-term functionality and sustainability, reducing the need for frequent replacements. Unlike traditional clothespins, the RFID Clothespin combines security, durability, and practicality, making it highly beneficial for students in boarding schools and individuals in shared accommodations. By merging everyday usability with modern security technology, this innovation provides a low-cost, efficient, and user-friendly approach to protecting personal belongings in communal environments.
