2 Pintar Animal Science Squad is an innovative classroom project that integrates scientific inquiry with creativity to enhance engagement and understanding in science learning among primary students. The project was developed in response to the problem of low curiosity and limited awareness of wildlife conservation often observed in conventional, textbook-based science lessons. Its main objective is to cultivate curiosity, empathy, and scientific thinking by enabling students to explore the animal world through research and creative expression. Students brainstorm and select research questions about their chosen animals, conduct guided investigations using various sources, and present their findings through mini documentaries. To further reinforce learning and engagement, students also complete art-based extensions such as colouring and puppet-making activities related to their selected animals. The project is significant as it connects scientific knowledge with empathy and environmental awareness, nurturing holistic learning that values both intellect and compassion. It has proven efficient and effective in increasing student participation, motivation, and retention of scientific concepts, as learning becomes active and hands-on.
